Tears of the Kingdom

covid-19 lock down allowed me be in touch with the life pulse of the masses in a new way—it unlocked my privilege of escapism and my realizations of it. breath of the wild paved the pathway for me to realize the beauty in craft of storytelling and video games in a bittersweet way which allowed for me to experience the true tears of the kingdom, which i used as refuge to escape from my reality as an adult feeling all total pressures of capitalism.

i have documented my escape through photography—a hobby i found joy in pre-lockdown that i had not been in touch with since finishing this game in august 2023. here are some selects of the hundreds of documentations i made—mostly of my korok findings.

i have 98.31% game completion in case you were wondering. 100% all koroks, main story and side quests. don’t really know exactly what i’m missing but most likely flew passed some beautiful map locations.
