Tears of the Kingdom
covid-19 lock down allowed me be in touch with my childlike self and recognize my place in society, the place of privilege I was entitled to escape the reality that we were living in. breath of the wild allowed me to embrace the beauty and craft of video game storytelling in an entirely new way and paved the path for me to experience tears of the kingdom as another refuge of escape from my reality, learning to adult and feeling the total pressures of capitalism.
i have documented my escape through photography—a hobby i found joy in pre-lockdown that i had not been in touch with since finishing this game in august 2023. here are some selects of the hundreds of documentations i made—mostly of my korok findings.
i have 98.31% game completion in case you were wondering. 100% all koroks, main story and side quests. don’t really know exactly what i’m missing but most likely flew passed some beautiful map locations.
